Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using LingoDeck ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
License to Use
LingoDeck grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may:
- Use the App on devices you own or control
- Create custom flashcard decks for personal use
- Export your personal study data
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
- Reverse engineer or decompile the App
- Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
- Share your premium subscription with others
- Redistribute flashcard content from the App
Subscriptions and Purchases
Free Tier
The free version of LingoDeck includes:
- Complete Spanish language pack
- Core spaced repetition features
- Progress tracking
- Offline access
Premium Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are available as:
- Monthly: $4.99/month
- Yearly: $29.99/year (with 7-day free trial)
- Lifetime: $69.99 one-time purchase
Billing
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
Free Trial
The yearly subscription includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. After the trial, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their App Store refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Content
Flashcard Content
The flashcard content provided in LingoDeck is:
- Created for educational purposes
- Subject to occasional errors or inaccuracies
- Not a substitute for professional language instruction
While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all translations or pronunciations are perfect. We welcome feedback to help improve our content.
User-Created Content
You retain ownership of flashcard decks and content you create. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
Intellectual Property
LingoDeck and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LingoDeck and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Results from using the App will be accurate
- The App will meet your specific learning requirements
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LingoDeck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:
- Violates these Terms
- Is harmful to other users
- Is harmful to us or third parties
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
