Data Stored Locally
LingoDeck is designed to work 100% offline. The following data is stored locally on your device:
- Your study progress and statistics
- Flashcard review history
- Custom decks and cards you create
- App settings and preferences
- Achievement data and streaks
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud sync, your study data is stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is:
- Encrypted and protected by Apple's security measures
- Only accessible to you through your Apple ID
- Not accessible to LingoDeck or any third parties
Purchase Information
When you make a purchase through the App Store:
- All payment processing is handled by Apple
- We receive a transaction receipt to verify your purchase
- We do not have access to your payment information
Information We Do NOT Collect
LingoDeck does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Personal identification information (name, email, etc.)
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Any data on external servers
Third-Party Services
LingoDeck does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Your learning data stays completely private.
Apple Services
We integrate with the following Apple services:
- iCloud: For optional data sync across your devices
- App Store: For in-app purchases and subscriptions
- AVSpeechSynthesizer: For text-to-speech pronunciation (processed on-device)
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:
- All local data is stored using Apple's secure data containers
- iCloud data is encrypted using Apple's security protocols
- No data is transmitted to external servers
Data Retention
Your data is stored locally on your device until you:
- Delete the app
- Use the in-app "Reset Progress" feature
- Manually delete data from iCloud (if sync is enabled)
Children's Privacy
LingoDeck is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, there is no risk to children's privacy.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (all stored locally on your device)
- Delete your data using the in-app reset feature
- Export your data (available in Premium)
- Disable iCloud sync at any time
